IT'S DAY THREE!
LISTEN TO DAYÂ THREE BELOW
I encourage you to put your headphones in or put this recording on speaker so that you can mess with your camera while you listen.Â

Checklist for Day 3Â OUTSIDEÂ (which is ideal)
- Set your camera to ISO 400.
- Go outside and find a shaded spot with a shaded background.
- Set your camera to AP (or AV) mode.
- If you’re using a zoom, use the widest setting by turning your lens clockwise (that’s the smaller number on the lens)
- Adjust the f-stop to the lowest setting (widest aperture) and take a photo.
- Adjust the f-stop to the highest setting (closed aperture) and take a second photo.
- Review your photos to notice the difference between the two f-stop settings.
- Upload your photos to your computer.
- Post at least one photo from each f-stop setting in the Facebook group.
Checklist for Day 3 INSIDEÂ (which can work but you need lots of natural light)
- Set your camera to ISO 2400 (or close to that).
- Find a spot with good window light (yesterday's lesson comes in handy)
- Set your camera to AP (or AV) mode.
- If you’re using a zoom, use the widest setting by turning your lens clockwise (that’s the smaller number on the lens)
- Adjust the f-stop to the lowest setting (widest aperture) and take a photo.
- Adjust the f-stop to the highest setting (closed aperture) and take a second photo.
- Review your photos to notice the difference between the two f-stop settings.
- Upload your photos to your computer.
- Post at least one photo from each f-stop setting in the Facebook group.
This is a big step forward, and I hope you're excited to continue experimenting. Tomorrow, we’ll talk about how to use all the skills you’ve learned so far to refine your photos even further.
